Dear my younger self...
Take heart
Keep your dreams alive and listen to your intuition as much as the advice of your elders.
They are not always wiser.
Do remember ,mistakes are a learning opportunity, courage is better advanced by facing challenges head on and maximise experience and relevant learning ( across the board).
Academia is not for everyone .
Continue to nurture your friendships.
If they are strong and appropriate they pay handsome dividends later in life
Keep a sense of humour and a sense of perspective.
As the expressions go ( in paraphrased form)
“Life is not a dress rehearsal”
“Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent “
“Fail , but keep on trying and fail better”
Most of all … be kind and listen to people .
