We are delighted to announce the winner of the u3a short story competition 2023.
Congratulations to Laurene Henderson of Wissey u3a, who is the winner of the 2023 competition with her story 'See Emily Play'.
In joint second position were Jane of Malvern u3a with 'Colours in the Fog' and Lynne Patrick of Witney u3a with 'Moving On'.
Earlier this year, we received over 400 entries from across the u3a movement which were split into 13 groups. These were judged by 39 judges, and the winner of each group was entered into the final shortlist.
Our final judging panel then chose the top 3 stories.
