Family History for Beginners

We will be exploring the basic sources to get a family tree started, using Census Returns, Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates along with a look at Parish Registers. Also up for discussion will be the best method of recording research and which websites and tree-building programmes to use. There will also be opportunities to chat about family history in general; discoveries, pitfalls, brick walls to baronets. The aim is to have fun discovering the lives of our ancestors.
